Rudesheim
About an hour from where we live is the cute Medieval town of Rudesheim.  You can get to it by driving out of your way over land, or the quicker and more fun way, is to drive over the Rhine in the ferry.

On the hillside above the town, is the statue of Germania.  She was built to commemorate the loss of lives during the Frano-Prussian War.
